TRX Public Realm:
A Project Fully Integrated into the Urban Fabric
TRX Public Realm is a project designed to seamlessly exist within its neighborhood, in a 70-acre district located in the city center of Kuala Lumpur.
At the center of it all is a 10-acre park, designed across multiple levels, including on the roof of the shopping mall, creating numerous opportunities for visual and physical connectivity between these two important landmarks. Its aim is to be porous to the larger landscape around it, allowing for a public space that is fully integrated into the urban fabric.
A key component of TRX’s holistic sustainability agenda, the central park provides lush greenery and shade, increases natural habitats and ecological value, reduces the heat island effect, and collects rainwater for reuse. The park connects to other public and private areas throughout TRX via walkways, staircases, and small and large plazas. Four major plazas encircle the development, including the MRT Plaza on the east side, which serves as a public transportation hub for commuters to travel in and out of the downtown area. At the other end is the North West Plaza, which will extend Kuala Lumpur’s shopping haven via a 450-meter covered pedestrian walkway to Bukit Bintang.
The entire route will be enhanced with a bustling outdoor shopping zone lined with shops, restaurants, and cafes as well as art and culture installations.

Archicad to the rescue
Complicated civil infrastructure projects, such as box tunnels with super-elevations, are the most challenging compared to any other type of building projects. However, with Archicad and the methods BOSB WORLD SDN BHD applies, it is possible to overcome those challenges.
